Best Water Bottle with a Purifier Filter for Hiking

We love hiking, but one of the things I hate is having to carry enough water for longer hikes. We bought a Grayl Geopress Water Bottle Purifier and so far, I am really happy with it. In my option, it’s the best water filter for hiking.

In a survival situation or if you happen to be on a long hike, clean drinking water is something that you must have. The Grayl Geopress water bottle boasts that it eliminates 99.9 percent of viruses and bacteria.

It took me about 14 seconds to purify 24 oz of water from a creek. The company claims that it only takes 8 seconds, but our test was about 14 seconds.

The water bottle is really easy to use. All you have to do is fill up the outer container to the waterline. Then put the inner bottle in and set it on something sturdy. After that all you have to do is press and then you have good clean drinking water.

It is super easy to use and definitely a great alternative to carrying lots of water when you know there will be water sources close to where you are hiking.

We created a video on how it worked for us. Please don’t judge too hard, I hate being in front of the camera!

This is definitely something we will be taking on our hiking trips and keeping one in our bugout bag.

I love how easy it is to use. I read some reviews that mentioned it was so hard to push down, but that wasn’t my experience at all. The taste of the water reminded me of water that came out of a water softener.

This review is our own thoughts on it. We were not offered a free product or payment in exchange for this review.

We are planning another practice bug out trip in September and will definitely be bringing the Grayl Geopress with us. I have tried a few others and in my opinion, it is the best water filter for hiking that we have found so far.
